Little & Associates Chooses Informative Graphics Corp.'s
Brava!™ and
Net-It™ Central for a Total Drawing, Image and Document Communication Solution
PHOENIX, Ariz.; March 1, 2001 -- As the industry leader in communication and collaboration solutions for the Architectural, Engineering and Construction community, Informative Graphics® is honored to announce architectural powerhouse Little & Associates has chosen both its
Brava! Java-based view, markup and collaboration solution and
Net-It Central Web and extranet document publishing solutions to satisfy its intra-company communication needs for drawings, images and documents.
Little & Associates, one of America's top 25 architectural firms, has thousands of drawings and documents it needs to make available for review and comment, both for ongoing projects and archival purposes. By deploying Brava!, Little & Associates has enabled its people to view and markup drawings and documents by using standard Web browsers, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. There is no additional software to install, providing a true zero-admin browser served solution. Documents and drawings will be stored on a central server and delivered to user desktops in a small Java applet with no footprint.
The deployment permits design or documentation changes in the form of Brava! redline overlays to be associated and managed over the company's intranet, an extranet or the Web. In addition, metadata information is retrievable through the integration to build customized watermarks and banners for document status information. Since Brava! does not transfer the actual file to the client for display, the combined solution creates a secure and trustworthy solution for supply and project collaboration activity.
With Net-It Central, the company is now able to quickly and easily publish documentation on its intranet, providing an elegant and easy-to-use solution for publishing a wide variety of office documents and removing the ongoing involvement of a Web master to update and publish new content. Completely self-managed, Net-It Central creates powerful intranet and extranet sites that let users instantly publish, read, search - even subscribe to - the business and project-related documents they need, with any browser, file server or Web server.
"We are deeply pleased to have been selected to supply a complete communication and collaboration solution to a firm with Little & Associates' excellent reputation and market leadership presence," said Gary Heath, Informative Graphics CEO and President. "The company's status as a top 25 architectural firm reinforces the fact that Informative Graphics' products have become the de facto standard for `Net-based collaboration, and we are delighted to have been chosen to have our products empower its viewing, redlining, collaboration and electronic publishing needs."
"As a leading architectural and engineering firm, Little & Associates Architects is always looking for ways to improve our internal enterprise communication and collaboration methods," said Steve Raines, director of strategic initiatives. "In this pursuit, we developed a business case for establishing market portals on our corporate intranet that enable each industry group to post standards information and drawing templates. The business case dictates that each group should have the ability to control the printing, copying and downloading of each posted document. In addition, these portals must be compatible with our established Microsoft and AutoCAD standards."
Raines continued, "We reviewed a variety of document management solutions, and were ultimately very impressed with all that Informative Graphics has to offer. We have since integrated the Net-It Central and Brava! tools, and are very excited about the ROI - our improved internal collaboration will benefit our clients by making our employees more productive. The staff at Informative Graphics was extremely knowledgeable and the help we received from Technical Support in our integration of Net-It and Brava! was timely and courteous. Informative Graphics certainly has Little & Associates' endorsement as a solution to any organization in need of a document or knowledge management solution."
