Informative Graphics Delivers Document to
Flash, Document to PDF Server-Based Publishing
Net-It™ Central
6.1 Adds More Versatility and Value With Multi-format Web Publishing Features
PHOENIX,
Arizona - August 5, 2003 --
Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a
leader in document and collaboration technology, announced today the release
of Net-It™ Central 6.1, which now
includes server-based Flash and PDF document publishing capabilities.
Net-It Central automates file publishing and web site creation for online
access to documents and CAD drawings.
Authorized users
only need to save files to designated folders. Net-It Central then
automatically publishes secure versions of the files with folder navigation as
an easy to use web site. Published files display directly in the user's web
browser, within the Net-It Central viewer, Flash player, or Adobe® Reader®,
depending on the publishing format chosen.
Like FlashPaper software from
Macromedia®, Net-It Central's Flash printer can publish any Windows®-printable
document, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint®, Visio®, and Project files,
into a format viewable by the Macromedia Flash player. The end result is a
fast and web-friendly viewing experience. Net-It Central 6.1 can also publish
documents as Adobe PDF files.
Net-It Central compliments content
management and portal systems like Microsoft® SharePoint™
Portal Server. It requires no HTML coding, page format editing, or
cutting and pasting of text. Net-It Central server-based publishing enables
web site authors / contributors to easily keep online organizational documents
(like policies and procedures, lunch menus, job postings, project charts,
organization charts, etc.) updated for their departments.
Those who need office document annotation
capabilities can still publish files to the native Net-It Central format and
use the Brava 4.1 viewer, which comes included. For engineering documents, the
Net-It Central for CAD option lets users publish, markup, and view CAD
drawings as well. This centralizes organizational file access for released
content and enables secure sharing of office and CAD files beyond the firewall
for contractors, vendors, and remote locations. Original files are not
transferred and the native authoring application isn't required to view and
annotate published files.
"With Net-It Central 6.1, PDF and Flash
server-based publishing, our customers now have expanded web-publishing
options," said Gary Heath, IGC's President and CEO. "Automated server-based
publishing to these web-standard document formats, in addition to
work-in-progress annotation and markup functionality, is a powerful capability
that can really streamline and transform publishing routines for single
departments and large enterprises alike."
